The Lightning is a refined lightweight backpack for multi-day 'Fast & Light' adventures that offers a high level of comfort with plenty of freedom of movement.
The weight-saving roll closure of the toploader allows the main compartment to be expanded to accommodate additional gear when needed. The back system with best load transfer has been tested and optimized over years in terms of comfort, ventilation, high freedom of movement in the hip and torso area and quick height adjustment. Side pocket made of elastic fabric hold water bottle, trekking or tent poles. Elastic zippered pockets on the hip belt and weatherproof zippered pocket in the top of the pack store small items for quick access. Side zig-zag compression straps and a strap that runs across the backpack with quick-release hooks keep things in place. The compression straps also hold large items like mats or the outer tent. Mats, the tent, etc. can be attached to the 4 ground loops. You can customize the full carrying system with minimal contact points. Valuables can be stored safely in the inner mesh pocket. The drinking tube can be fixed on the left or right. If you use the Lightning for mountaineering, you can attach ice tools and other equipment to the loops and the central daisy chain.
