From a garage company to a global player

Markenkoffer GmbH, based in Großmehring / Bavaria, has been operating the online store www.markenkoffer.de and a stationary retail store at the same location for 15 years.

The path to an internationally successful company began in 2007: Luggage from leading manufacturers bundled in an online store with fast shipping and an uncomplicated shopping experience - that was the vision of the three founders Bernhard Ostermeier, Stefan Ostermeier and Thomas Rixner.

From nightly working sessions in the garage at home, a well-functioning business strategy gradually emerged - over time, a single sales partner was joined by more and more manufacturers who were also convinced by the idea of the founders.

It quickly became clear: We need space! And so the garage became a large company building with an central warehouse beside.

Originally located in Ingolstadt, then in Hepberg, the first major company expansion took place in 2010 with the move to Denkendorf. Due to the extremely rapidly increasing order situation, the founders decided to expand again in spring 2018 and optimize the location: Since then, Großmehring near Ingolstadt has been the location of the modernized company and warehouse building. The product range was gradually expanded to include other product areas: Luggage was joined by bags, small leather goods, backpacks and satchels. In addition to the online store, Markenkoffer.de opened a stationary store.

The number of employees also grew continuously: A large number of them take care of shipping, returns, etc. in the warehouse. In addition, there are the office employees, who are divided between the areas of customer management, product creation, product photography, marketing, accounting and personnel, as well as the sales staff for our store. All in all, Markenkoffer.de currently employs around 50 people, who ensure on a daily basis that you will find the most perfect all-round service possible from a single source in our online store, consisting of product range, service & inspiration.

The three founders are still at the top of Markenkoffer.de and manage the business together with their many years of expertise. This consistency, continuity and loyalty is also reflected in the company's values. More than 150 top manufacturers as well as a steadily growing customer base trust precisely this and ensure that Markenkoffer GmbH will continue its success story as a healthily growing company and one of the leading and best-selling online stores for luggage, bags, backpacks and satchels.
