Around 1930, the Hungarian bookbinder Etienne Aigner discovered his love of leather and went on to design bag collections for several haute couture houses in Paris. His monogram, in the shape of a horseshoe, was created from the first letter of the name Aigner. The bags are elegant and contemporary.
